Funny how memory works, isn't it? "With me" are the words I remember from "Ladyhawke", a movie made in 1985. Out of all the scenes in that movie, I can picture one man saying those words to another, then taking a walk together. Loved that movie.

And those words I think came from the 'bad guy'!

Then, there was a TV series . . where Kyra Sedgwick often said to a fellow officer "With me,

With me" before the two of them took off to investigate a case.

Yes, I love detective series, movies, etc. They may have given me a suspicious side . . for example: Why would a delivery person go the wrong direction against my instructions after they have pulled into the entrance to our condos? Further, why would he pull in front of the driveway instead of into the driveway? Was he 'casing' the place? Was he parking the car that way so we couldn't see the license plate? See what I mean? My suspicious side.

One thing I am not at all suspicious of is the Bible and what it states about Jesus. We have a With Me Jesus, a With Us Jesus. The meaning of one of His names (Emmanuel) is With us. God with us. God is with us in the form of the Holy Spirit after we are born again (please see John chapter 3).

We MUST be born again. Have you ever tried to get a child away from a new toy when you want to take the family out for ice cream? The child is so busy with his toy he can't imagine that where you are going is any better than what he is already doing.

Being born again is just the beginning!

God is calling us and there us a "mustness" about it. He knows His ways are better than our ways. He is calling us to a relationship with Him.

Nicodemus came to see Jesus at night to ask questions.

In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again." John 3:3

How can a man be born when he is old? Nicodemus asked.

(Now Nick, listen carefully said Jesus) . . . Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit."John 3:5-6

Jesus explained further in John chapter 3. Please read.

Later in John 14, Jesus was answering his disciples' questions and teaching them about the Holy Spirit. He told them, "If you love me, you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever - the Spirit of Truth." The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.John 14:15-17

Have you ever gone through a very difficult time and longed for someone to be by your side comforting you? I have. My sister came and stayed with me a short time when she was sorely needed. There was a very big sense of relief for me. When she left, I was more ready to face the world again.

As Christians we have the precious Holy Spirit within us.

Did you know that we can grieve the Holy Spirit? Ephesians 4:30. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as all in Christ God forgave you.

Let's think about this . . we cannot grieve someone who does not love us. Why not? Because they may feel a sense of connected humanity, but they don't love us. Thus it does not hurt them and they are not grieved. It does matter to the Holy Spirit because He loves us and He can be grieved by you and He can be grieved by me.

Have you been Born Again? Or have you read what Jesus said in John 3 and said to yourself 'What?' 'What?' If you are not sure, please talk to a Pastor or someone you know you is saved. Or you can email me @mckeever.joyce@yahoo.com

I have no products to sell and do not have a mailing list. Be sure before you go to bed whatever day or night you read this. Be very sure.
